About Al Nather

The veteran, the scene daddy, the pickiest of ears. Al Nather has been making music in Palestine since before it was cool and was part of a local artist collective known as Saleb Wahd (-1) which allowed him to hone his Arab rhythm-infused musical style. This created the Al Nather of today, able to sing, rap and produce to perfection; no matter the genre, he’s able to combine it with his unique sound having conquered the challenges of Dance Hall, Trap, Hip-Hop, UK Bass and Dub. His outstanding body of work has made him one of the most well-established music producers in the MENA region; his collaborations feature the most popular of regional artists including Al Rass, Muqata’a, The Synaptik, Haykal, Bu Kulthom, and many others. His achievements are also international having performed alongside world-class artists such as Jamie xx, Kutmah and Sinistarr. As a key of the independent Arabic music scene, he featured heavily in the Boiler Room’s Palestine Underground documentary as well as performing in his own Boiler Room set. In recent years, Al Nather has become Shabjdeed’s executive producer, together creating an unstoppable force in the local music scene. The duo has put out an impressive repertoire of hits, and dropped their highly-anticipated collaborative debut album “Sindibad el Ward” summer 2019.
