Climbers Run Nature Center
226 Frogtown Road, Pequea, United States
Come out to help us restore the 115-acre Climbers Run Nature Center. We will be working on invasive shrub removal as the first part of a comprehensive eco-restoration program.
What to Expect: We will be working on potentially steep uneven terrain with multiple trip hazards using hand tools to remove invasive multiflora rose. Hand tools and work gloves will be provided. There are restrooms available on site.
Where to Meet: Meet behind the barn on the lower-level patio.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather; long, sturdy pants (we may be working amongst thorns) and closed toe shoes are a must. Bring drinking water.
Workday Leader: Interpretive Ranger Rachel Haynes loves discovering new places and basking in the lush glens tucked along the Susquehanna.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation for severe weather made at the time of the event. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email when possible and refunded.
