All are welcome to join us for this lecture series presented by Buddy Payne!
August 25-27 @ East Paris Ave. Peoria, IL
Monday 7PM - Christianity and Science: Conflict or Coherence?
The common worldview of the 20th Century was that science and religion are in conflict; that progress in science rules out belief in God as antiquated and unnecessary. This lecture declares that the scientific discoveries of the 20th and 21st century have only strengthened the ancient proclamation that "The heavens declare the glory of God!" - The Argument from Design.
Tuesday 7PM - The Great Designer: Evidence from the Chemistry of Living Things
This lecture focuses on the discoveries, over the last 75 years, of the amazing complexity of even the simplest forms of living things, of life at the biochemical level. The single cell contains massive amounts of information being used to produce and maintain an untold number of molecular machines and complex processes that all speak to Intelligent Design.
Wednesday 7PM - Molecular Machines - Evolved or Designed?
This lecture builds on the previous one and examines more thoroughly the subject of molecular machines, highlighting several examples with special emphasis upon the bacterial flagellum. Given the sheer number and complexity of molecular machines in every living cell, which is the more reasonable explanation for their origin - natural causes or Intelligent Design?
