🎶 Meet Dave Barber: The Man Behind the Music 🎶
Dave Barber’s musical journey began at age 12, inspired by the iconic banjo theme from The Beverly Hillbillies. Self-taught and driven by a love for connection through music, Dave quickly mastered guitar and banjo, performing with local bands by his teens.
After formal studies in jazz at Grant MacEwan University, where he honed his skills in composition and theory, Dave moved with his wife Kirby to Vancouver and later Nashville, collaborating with artists like Chad Brownlee, Dallas Smith, and even contributing to a four-times platinum single by Coleman Hell.
Now back in Canada, Dave is focusing on his own music, blending his many influences into a unique sound that’s expressive, soulful, and full of heart. His instrumental debut Molly’s Eyes released in 2023, and he’s now adding vocals and lyrics to his evolving sound.
