Do you want to try the Aerial Hammocks but aren’t sure which style is right for you? Or maybe you love all the styles and want to mix up your practice week to week? 5 weeks, 5 styles of movement to foster connection with self, community and to have fun!
Join us Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm from February 10th to March 10th where each week we will facilitate a different style of aerial hammock class.
No previous aerial hammock, yoga or fitness experience is necessary for any of the sampler classes.
5 Aerial Hammocks Styles Offered During this Aerial Sampler Series are:
• Aerial Yoga – Enjoy a beginners aerial yoga class incorporating breath work, meditation and yoga poses using the hammocks to assist with balance and stability, much like a chair in a chair-yoga class.
• Aerial Fusion – A unique blend of power, alignment and balance focusing on strength and conditioning through the use of the hammocks allowing you to navigate a full proper stretch while performing the exercises in the air.
• Floating Sound Bath – Float weightlessly in a hammock while a variety of sound instruments are played all around you. The vibrations from the instruments flow through your body so you may become deeply relaxed and enter a restorative state helping to reduce stress, anxiety and mood fluctuations which can lead to improved sleep.
• Aerial Play – A challenging but playful class to build flexibility and strength as you focus on specific poses, flips, flows, wraps and rolls in and around the hammock.
• Restorative Aerial Yoga – A gentle moving, low-to-the-ground practice where a hammock is used to support the body in a variety of poses that fosters a deep state of physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Poses are held for longer to allow the nervous system to unwind and the body and mind to release tension and stress.
