Escambia County invites the community to a second public workshop for the South Navy Boulevard Improvement Plan Thursday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. to discuss findings from the first public workshop. The workshop will take place at the Lexington Terrace Community Center, located at 700 S. Old Corry Field Road. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.
Following months of public input and technical analysis, the project team has developed a recommended plan aimed at enhancing safety, mobility, and visual appeal along the corridor. The recommended plan includes updated lighting, landscaping, and overall roadway design enhancements to better serve residents, commuters, and visitors.
During the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to view the recommended plan, speak with the project team, and provide additional feedback. Community input can also be shared through a brief online survey that will be released after the meeting, offering another opportunity to weigh in.
South Navy Boulevard is a one-mile corridor stretching from Barrancas Avenue to the Sam A. Lovelace Bridge, serving as a vital gateway to NAS Pensacola and nearby neighborhoods and businesses. For more details on the project, please visit southnavyblvd.com.
