Brownsville Library Ribbon Cutting

Escambia County invites the community to a ribbon cutting Thursday, Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. to celebrate the new Brownsville Library, the first library in the Brownsville community.

Escambia County purchased the former Masonic Lodge building to convert into a new 8,000-square-foot library and community space in the heart of Brownsville. The first floor features a public library and café space, with a large multi-use space on the second floor for senior activities, children's programs, classes and events.

The ribbon cutting will take place at the library, located at 3300 W. De Soto St. One or more Escambia County Commissioners will be in attendance.
