Would you like to elevate your writing by mastering stylistic techniques that add impact? In this class, Emma will teach you how to use punctuation deliberately to shape meaning and tone, explore the power of repetition to reinforce ideas, and use parenthesis (brackets and commas) effectively to add detail and emphasis. The class also covers the use of short, minor, and single-word sentences to create tension and convey emotion.
By the end of the afternoon, you will be equipped with practical tools to make your writing more engaging and dynamic.
The session will be informal and supportive and an opportunity for you to meet like-minded people. There will be plenty of time to write and try out ideas. You will be given a course booklet to work with and take away with you.
Emma is a teacher with 28 years’ experience, and she is passionate about helping people develop their creativity.
