Matterdale and St John’s Shepherds Meet and Show

The clock is ticking!! Only 30 days until the greatest little sheep show in Lakeland takes place!!
If you are in the area on Saturday August 23rd, be sure to pop along to George V playing field in Patterdale.
You will be able to see some of the very best Herdwick, Swaledale (and for the first time at our show Cheviot) sheep.

Along with the sheep show, in the adjoining field Ullswater Sheepdog Society also have their show. There will be sheepdog trials, fell races and various dog classes.

All in all it’s a “grand day out” for all the family! Refreshments are available on the field.

And last but not least, our famous “men only” (that’s just how it is!), baking competition.
This year it’s Lemon Drizzle Cake.

Anyone found cheating will be dealt with accordingly 🤣
