Black Bear 101

Join us for an evening of discussion on living with black bears in Virginia. District Wildlife Biologist, Ethan Chapmon, will be on hand to teach “Black Bear 101” where topics will include black bear biology and management in Virginia, as well as methods to mitigate and resolve human-bear conflicts.

Boy Scout Troop Pack 675 will lead us in The Pledge of Allegiance and host a "I am Bear Aware" pledge table.

Local 4-H students will participate in mock scenarios to help our community know what to do in certain situations.

Light refreshments will be provided.
