Penguin 150 Penguin Cemetery Walk

As part of the Penguin 150 celebrations, join us for a special evening at the Penguin Cemetery on Saturday 6 September 2025 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. The Penguin Cemetery Walk offers a unique opportunity to explore local history under the stars, with storytelling by local historian Chris Banks bringing the tales of our forebears to life. The cemetery will be beautifully lit with lanterns, creating a reflective and atmospheric setting for this free community event.

Enjoy the hauntingly beautiful sounds of live harp music by Kate Fraser, warm up with delicious offerings from food and coffee vans, and pick up a giveaway or two thanks to our event sponsor, Westella Funerals. While the event is free, bookings are essential via Humantix. Rug up, wear sturdy shoes, and get ready to step back in time. Please note this event is not fully accessible due to uneven terrain.
