Hello friends!! It's that time again! "The Purse Project" is BACK! 👛👜💼👛 The song on the reel got cut off, but it was suppose to say "Spread a Little Happiness!" 🎵 🎶
Let's do just that!! Join us again this year as we partner up with Rochester's "Esther Project" to spread a little happiness by caring for our city's homeless community in a very tangible way.

The goal of "The Purse Project" is to collect and pass out bags filled with essentials for individuals in our homeless community, especially before the colder fall and winter season sets in. 👜💼👛👜💼
Simply fill new or gently used purses & bags with any personal care items (see the suggested list above ) and then simply drop the filled bags off to Tree Town Cafe NEXT SATURDAY, SEPT 27th anytime between 8am and 3pm right outside the shop! ☺️Reptesentatives from Esther Project will be there at a designated station for you to drop your bags off at!
Once all of the filled bags are collected, the Esther Project will distribute them to organizations who are in direct contact with our homeless community in Rochester. From there, the bags will be given to individuals in need throughout the months to come ❤️👜💼👛
As you are packing your bags, a few things to consider :
- Please be sure to donate full sizes of products, preferably not travel sizes. These bags will hopefully be used over a longer period of time, rather than just one time use.
Types of bags to fill (general) :
- Large purses for homeless women 👛👜,
- Duffle bags for homeless men💼,
- Bookbags /drawstring bags for teens,
- Diper bags for homeless teen moms and their sweet babies (words that are so sad and difficult to to even type) 😔
