Book Launch: ‘Blind Drunk’ by Veronica Woodruff

Join us on Thursday, May 29th, for an exciting book launch featuring local author Veronica Woodruff. Veronica will present her book, "Blind Drunk: A Sober Look at Our Boozy Culture," sharing her personal journey alongside her research. There will also be the chance to ask questions, chat, and mingle.

“This book is about my evolution from a spoiled, entitled brat to a homeless teen, to a professional scientist and educator blessed with an adventure-filled life. The transition from a life on concrete sidewalks to forest pathways, from wealth to welfare, and ultimately to a successful professional and personal identity has given me a unique view of drinking culture in professional circles, rural communities, extreme sports, and family life.”

Blind Drunk will be available to purchase at the event. You can also pick up a copy prior to the event at Stay Wild Natural Health Food Store, located in Pemberton village. Additionally, the library will have a copy that is available to borrow with a valid library card.
