Country School (All School) Reunion – August 23, 2025
District 2028 (formerly District 139)
Stearns County, Zion Township, Minnesota
THIS IS A VERY POSITIVE CHANGE-THANKS FOR ADAPTING TO IT.
School Reunion Venue Update - Please Read
This is an update informing you that due to logistical issues regarding seating for a few of our guests and easy access restroom concerns we are moving our main reunion event to the Paynesville Historical Society Museum located at 251 Ampe Drive, Paynesville, MN 56362. Thank you for adapting to this change. Time remains 2:00 to 5:00 PM
THE MAIN EVENT 2:00 to 5:00 PM AUGUST 23, 2025
The main event will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Paynesville Historical Museum. The museum is full of nostalgic references to the era of our country school days. It even includes recorded stories from some of our former students as well as many artifacts of days gone by. We still encourage you to bring a dessert (or healthier snacks or appetizer you may want to share) Maybe something you remember from your elementary school days like a family favorite recipe. Feel free to bring old school photos or mementos you would like to show. There will be ample indoor seating and some sheltered outdoor seating. We encourage you to bring your own lawn chair if you can should the weather be perfect and everyone wants to sit outdoors. We will be enjoying our dessert/tapas and coffee between 2:00 and 5:00. Ice water, carbonated flavored water, and coffee will be provided.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD
We invite you to contact former students in your family and in your network and share this invitation with them. We want everyone who attended to be invited.
If your dessert/appetizer needs a serving utensil, it would be very helpful if you brought one along to make serving it easy.
THE MAIN EVENT 2:00 to 5:00 PM
The main event will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on the church lawn. The church building will be open for use in case of inclement weather or just to visit. This will be a midafternoon dessert potluck. We encourage you to bring a dessert to share that you remember from your elementary school days like a family favorite recipe (such as a pie, a cake, a pan of brownies, cookies, etc.) Feel free to bring old school photos or mementos you would like to show.
OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
The new picnic shelter at the Paynesville Historical Museum has been reserved for any of us who would like to have lunch (at 12:00 noon) together and tour the museum, which has a wealth of information about country schools (and more) from our childhood era. Bring your own picnic lunch or if you prefer, eat lunch elsewhere before you come. Let the stories begin.
MORE OPTIONAL FUN 6:00 PM
Some of us may want to visit a local establishment of our choosing for dinner and more socializing.
