NEA Big Read: Nature Journaling at MFFC

Join Stephanie Erlandson, a botanist with the US Forest Service, on a nature discovery hike through Merck Forest & Farmland Center. Open your eyes to the hidden world of plants around you, see fall colors, and dive into Nature Journaling. We will likely encounter fall asters, goldenrods, and more. Come prepared to take a closer look at the world around you. Arrive early to catch one of Merck Forest’s Fall Foliage Wagon Rides, running hourly from 10am through 1pm, $5 per person.

This event has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. The goals of the NEA Big Read are to inspire meaningful conversations, celebrate local creativity, elevate a wide variety of voices and perspectives, and build stronger connections in each community.
