Night At Races How it works
• Each table will have a bin on it with betting slips and pens.
• Before each race fill in race #, the horse you want to bet, and $ the amount you want to bet. Minimum bet is $2.
• Take the betting ticket up to the betting table, the workers at the table will take your money, and stamp your ticket as paid.
• When all bets are in for that race, 6 people will be asked to come up to the track and pick a horse they would like to be the jockey for
• We will roll 3 dice and call out the #s. If the dice are 1/2/3 each of those horses will move one space. If the dice are 4/4/6 4 horse moves 2 spots and 6 moves one.
• There are approximately 18 spaces, the 1st horse to cross the finish line wins.
• Once the race is over people with winning ticket go back to the betting table and collect winnings for that race.
• This will repeat over and over for about 6-8 races for the night.
• Payout odds are based on how much money was bet on each horse, in each race.
• 25 % of all money bet will go to Share the Voice and the remaining % will be paid to winners.
Last races of the night
After the betting window closes for the last race, each horse will be raffled off.
Each horse is sold to a person or table (just for the evening, not for good). They can take the horse back to their table and decorate it. They will provide the jockey for the race.
There will be further instructions on this the day of the event. (In the past horses have sold for $75 and up to $2500)
