A Community Memory Project with the Morningstar Baptist Church and the Hanford History Project
Help us piece together the neighborhood that shaped generations.
Do you remember when East Pasco bustled with corner stores, family gatherings, and tight-knit community life before 1970? Or perhaps you've heard these stories passed down through your family. We need your memories to help preserve this vital piece of our shared heritage!
Join us for an interactive community mapping session where we'll reconstruct East Pasco as it once existed.
Using a large-scale historical base map provided by the Franklin County Historical Society and Museum, we'll work together to mark:
• Where homes, businesses, and gathering places once stood
• The stories that made each location special
• The connections that bound the community together
Your Role Matters!
Longtime residents: your firsthand memories are irreplaceable historical documents
Family members: The stories your parents and grandparents shared hold crucial details
Community historians: Your research and passion help connect the dots
Curious neighbors: Your questions and fresh perspective enrich our understanding
We'll Provide Everything You Need
• Professional-quality base map and materials
• Comfortable workspace for sharing and mapping
• Complimentary lunch for all participants
• A welcoming environment where every story matters
