The West Coast’s Largest Bead & Artisan Marketplace Begins the New Year at the Pasadena Convention Center

The Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Pasadena Convention Center January 16–18, welcoming the public to a vibrant, curated marketplace of beads, gemstones, artisan jewelry, textiles, artwear, findings, and handcrafted works. Now in its 18th year of biannual shows — and held in Pasadena since 2008 — the event brings together over 300 exhibitors including studio artists, tradespeople, and makers from across the country.

A Marketplace for Designers, Collectors & Makers

The Pasadena Bead & Design Show is a cornerstone West Coast event for artists, designers, and collectors seeking new materials at the start of the year. Attendees will find an expansive selection of handcrafted jewelry, hand-cut gemstones, lampwork glass beads, wearable art, painted silks, eco-dyed textiles, metalwork, and mixed-media pieces — alongside rare components, antique findings, pearls, tribal and vintage beads, natural fibers, hill tribe silver, tools, and other specialty supplies.

Artisan Craft & Design

Exhibitors represent a broad range of artisan work — from traditional beadwork and lapidary arts to handcrafted jewelry, textiles, and mixed media. The show highlights quality materials and the skill of makers working in both classic and modern forms of craft.

Hands-On Workshops

In addition to shopping, the show offers a selection of hands-on workshops throughout the weekend. Attendees can take classes in jewelry design, wire techniques, metalwork, and other creative skills taught by experienced instructors. Workshops are open to all levels and provide a welcoming environment for learning and trying new techniques.

A Creative Community Gathering

Since its inception in 2008, the Pasadena Bead & Design Show has grown into a beloved meeting place for the creative community — where artists reconnect, new makers discover their craft, and visitors experience the energy and process behind artisan design.
