Winter Sowing Workshop

Join me at the McKellar Community Center to learn about another method of starting seeds called winter sowing. If you have tried growing sunflowers or other seeds by scattering in your garden in the spring, you may find that our tiny critters may gobble them up as soon as they sprout. Winter sowing protects those seeds as they grow and will sprout earlier than direct sowing. All materials are covered in the fee ($8.00/person). You’ll get to take your container home to watch it grow. Limited to 25 participants and gardening gloves are highly recommended.
