Vijayadasami 2025 - Auspicious Commencement Event

Vijayadasami is a highly auspicious festival for Bharatanatyam learners, considered a significant day to begin new artistic journeys and studies in the dance form. It is also an occasion for students and teachers to pay homage to their gurus for the knowledge and arts, reinforcing the values of discipline, perseverance, and devotion inherent in the practice of Bharatanatyam. We celebrate this day with the gathering of all our current students and the acceptance of new students. Additionally, this day emphasizes the profound connection between a student, their teacher (guru), and the art form itself, fostering reverence for the guru-shishya tradition where dancers seek divine blessings for their learning journey, acknowledging the wisdom and grace bestowed by their teachers.

Vijayadashami symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and is seen as an ideal day to start a new phase of learning Bharatanatyam, so if you would like to start or recommence your Bharathanatyam journey with us, we warmly welcome you to attend this event at *16 Stapleton Street, Wentworthville NSW 2145 at 6PM onwards on Thursday, the 2nd of October.
