Gathered Lampshade Making
What this workshop will cover
This is a two day workshop running over the 25th and 26th October 10am to 3.30pm. Over the two days you will learn the art of binding your lampshade, creating and fitting your lining, measuring and fitting your outer fabric and gathering or pleating your lampshade. You will also learn the hand sewing method of securing your fabric into place and choosing your trims to add to your lampshade.
Your tutor Hayley will walk you through each step so that you will head home with your completed lampshade.

What you need to bring
We will supply everything, unless you have specific fabric that you wish to bring, please discuss this with Hayley on booking.
Other things you need to know
Please note that the workshops are held upstairs. Once upstairs, the workshop space is on the same floor as the kitchen and bathroom. Refreshments are included in the fee. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
