We heard you loud and clear! Dancing in the snow, circling the fire, and sharing warmth in community was such a hit, we’re gathering once more this winter to dance it out at The Heron Farm and Event Center! Join us for a Winter New Moon Ecstatic Dance, an outdoor, firelit gathering under dark skies.
The New Moon is a time of deep quiet, a moonless sky for listening, releasing, and setting intentions.
We’ll meet at the Café in the Woods, gathering around the fire to open sacred space together, sip warm cacao, ground into gratitude, and as daylight gives way to darkness, we’ll open the ecstatic dance container and move together by firelight with a DJ set by Jimmy Wilson. We’ll close the evening with a shared chant and a simple potluck, ending the night in warmth and community.
Hot water and teas will be available throughout.
Donation-Based Event
Suggested: $10–$20 to support the venue
(No one turned away for lack of funds)
What to Bring
• Your own mug + bowl / fork / spoon (for cacao and soup)
• Snacks or Something to add to the potluck (Vegetarian soup will be provided)
• Warm layers for dancing outdoors — this event is completely outdoors
• A camping chair if you’d like a cozy place to sit
• Headlamp or flashlight recommended
Loving Reminders
• Be ready for a little adventure.
If we get snow, we’ll hike from HQ / Visitor Parking to the Café in the Woods. Dragon Run won’t be plowed, so plan for a snowy stroll. Weather updates will be shared in the Facebook group as we get closer.
• This is an outdoor winter gathering.
We’ll have a small fire going, but please come bundled and prepared for winter temperatures, keeping in mind you’ll be carrying your belongings in and out.
• Weather dependent.
If we get heavy wind, storms, or dangerously low temperatures, we may need to postpone.
• Bring your own mug, bowl, and spoon.
We’ll provide cacao at the beginning and have an electric kettle with hot water and teas available throughout the dance. A big pot of vegetarian soup will be shared at the potluck.
• Pack in, pack out.
Let’s keep the woods clean — please take everything you bring with you.
