DONāT forget to join us for our 4th SEASON this year as we showcase our best attractions yet! THE HALLOWEEN HANGOUT is open every weekend throughout the month of October, and Halloween night, with something unique and fun to offer the entire family, including your pets!
Situated on a gorgeous, 212-year old historic farm in Palmyra, weāre just a 30-minute drive from Charlottesville!
The Halloween Hangout offers a Kid Zone with Selfie Station, an Enchanted Hay Ride, a Haunted Forest, and a Fortune Teller, a Forest of Frames, a Sunflower Fort, a Candy Dice Game, Corn Hole Boards, and so much more! At just $10 per ticket, there is no better place to enjoy family fall fun than right here in your own backyard!
We will be open every Saturday and Sunday in October as follows:
Saturdays-12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Sundays-2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Halloween Night (Friday)-5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Our venue sprawls 13 beautiful country acres and includes the following:
KID ZONE
This area features fun activities for everyone and will surely be a hit to all! Weāve got a Selfie Station with costumes and props to get creative with, or take a climb across our lighted spider playground! Enjoy a roll of our gigantic dice in our game of Candy Dice, with plenty of candy to win! Feel free to leave your mark on our 10-foot "coloring board!
ENCHANTED HAY RIDE
Climb aboard and snuggle in our piles of pillows and get ready for an enchanted ride through the woods! Pulled behind a full-size tractor, our hay wagon is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride with the whole family, pups included! Enjoy the sounds of seasonal holiday music as you wind your way past 10 fall-themed displays that are particularly beautiful at night! This ride offers ALL our guests an āenchantedā way to enjoy the fall season!
HAUNTED FOREST (Opens at 6 p.m. each day.)
Seeking spooks while here? Weāve got you covered! Snaking its way alongside our pond is our outdoor Haunted Forest. This attraction features fun spooks with a bit of comedy thrown into the mix! We give this attraction a 5 on the scary factor between 1-10!
FORTUNE TELLER
Interested in seeing your future? Visit our historic corn crib and have your palm read in a mystical setting! Let us read your palm and give you the fortune you've been waiting for!
GRASSY FIELD AND FOOD
We have a beautiful, centrally-located open field for you and your family to enjoy! This area has numerous photo-taking opportunities, along with music and games to play! This is a great spot to lay out a blanket, play your guitar, or toss a ball out for your pooch! Come make the most of this communal space that all can enjoy!
This year we are PROUD to announce that VILLA NOVA PIZZA from Lake Monticello will be here for all your yummy eats, to include pumpkin flavored ice cream! Please come out and support local small business!
Tickets will be available for purchase for $10 at the gate. Cash, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted.

Tickets are non-refundable. (If we are closed due to inclement weather, you may use your ticket on an alternate date of your choice; however, unused tickets due to weather closings are non-refundable.). We are located at 2444 Carysbrook Rd. in Palmyra, VA. (NOTE: Mapquest will take you directly to our main property entrance, which will be blocked from accessing. The entrance to our venue is located directly to the left of the property!)

Visiting property and use of facilities are done entirely at visitorās own risk. Farm, owners, and/or staff are not responsible for visitor's property left unattended at any time. Drugs and alcohol of any kind are not permitted on the premises. Entrance to property constitutes permission for management to photograph or video anyone while on the premises and to use those photos or videos for any lawful purpose without written permission or compensation to the individual. FAQ's:
1. Do children get in for free?
Children age 1 and under are allowed in for free. Children over the age of 1 must have a purchased ticket to enter.
2. Do you allow pets?
Well-behaved pets may participate so long as they are leashed and the owner cleans up after them. We do NOT provide bags for disposing of pet waste at this time so please plan to bring bags of your own and dispose of them in the trash cans provided.
3. What should we wear? Guests are welcome to dress in their Halloween costume, and we particularly encourage it the night of Halloween! Aside from that, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably in clothes they do not mind getting a bit dirty. (We are on a farm, after all!)
4. What should we bring? We recommend you bring any blankets you want to sit on, any lights you want to use at night (headlamps or flashlights), mosquito repellent, and disposable bags for your pet's waste.
5. Are tickets refundable? Tickets are non-refundable.
6. Will there be food available?
YES! This year we are proud to partner with Villa Nova Pizza from Lake Monticello for all your tasty treats!
7. Are you handicap accessible?
Unfortunately, with our venue spanning over 13 acres, we are not set up to accommodate handicapped individuals; however, we will do our best to accommodate those that need our assistance. Please contact Leslie Berner at 434.249.1822 to discuss options for having our handicap friends participate. If we can make it happen, we will!
8. Does the venue involve a lot of walking?
The majority of our venue attractions are located within easy walking distance of each other for our patrons. The only exception to this would be the Haunted Forest, but guests are welcome to catch a ride on our hay wagon if they would rather not walk to it.
9. Who should I contact with any issues regarding my visit?
Please contact Leslie Berner at 434.249.1822 and allow 24-48 hours for a response, especially during season when we are open. Please rest assured that everything will be done to ensure you have a satisfactory visit to our facility.
10. What happens if it rains?
If the weather is such that we need to close, announcements will be posted on Facebook. In this case, you may use your ticket on another day of your choice. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!
11. Are there things for the adults to do too?
YES! We have geared our facility to be fun for both kids AND adults!
12. Can we bring our own food and drink?
We prefer you forgo bringing your own food and drinks and instead, support our fellow small business partner, Villa Nova Pizza, while on the premises. Please make sure to clean up after yourself properly by disposing your trash in the receptacles provided. Thank you!
