I can’t believe it’s already our final race of the season! It has been such a fun summer and I have loved watching everyone grow and improve throughout the series. However summer is quickly fading away into fall and evenings are getting darker so it is time to finish off our series for this year.
We will be in the France Equestrian Center this week.
Saturday, September 6th is our 13th of 13 races at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.
Registration/warm ups begins at 12:15.
Timed runs start at 1pm.
Races cost $40 for a timed run on both the barrel pattern and pole bending pattern.
Riders may practice before timed runs begin and depending on timing before pole bending timed runs.
This year we are doing awards a little different, we will not pass out buckles at the end of this race but we will have an award ceremony in early November.
As most of you know we have implemented the traditional 4D structure per age group. Except littles division which will still receive 1-6 ribbons at the end of each race.
Points will accumulate over the course of the series and belt buckles for Champion and Reserve Champion will
be given at the award ceremony early November.
These events are designed to be a positive learning experience. We encourage new to the sport riders, green horses or folks who just want to come out and have fun. We just ask that you bring a positive attitude and cheer each other on!
If you feel like it bring a treat to share as we celebrate a fun summer of cheering each other on and beating our personal bests!
Time depending we will plan for an additional fun race (no points accumulated).
