Keynote Speaker
This year’s keynote speaker is Rick Thoman, climate specialist with the International Arctic Research Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks! Weather and the environment are different now than in the past, and it’s going to continue to change in the coming decades. Rick Thoman’s presentation will focus on how things have changed in Southcentral Alaska since the mid-20th century and what the future may bring – with an eye toward changes that could impact salmon. Join us for his in-person talk, Mat-Su’s Changing Environment: Connecting the Past, Present and Future on Thursday, November 20th from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Palmer Depot. Please join us!
This presentation will be relevant to many applications and people including for short and long term planning. We are excited to share his presentation and more! Find more information at www.matsusalmon.org.
