Are you ready be as a desert defender (but need a place to start?) Team up with us in the fight against poaching and help protect rhinos! 🦏
Each year, our conservation partners from the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit embark on a 21km race — and this year, you’re invited to join the challenge, celebrate their dedication, and raise critical support for The Living Desert's work with the Black Mambas.
How You Can Join:
1. In-Person at The Living Desert
Join us for a 2.1 mile walk on-grounds at The Living Desert followed by a live Q&A session with the Mambas! Refreshments will be served, and the first 100 participants will receive a Black Mambas cooling towel. In addition, ALL participants will be entered to win a rhino encounter for two at the Zoo.
2. Virtually, from Anywhere
Can't make it in person? Not to worry! Join us for a virtual 21km walk/run that can be completed over the course of 2 weeks. Participants can track their progress on our online platform and can join the live Q&A virtually. Participants will be entered to win a Black Mambas t-shirt.
3. Couch > Cardio?
Not into running? No worries! You can still help support wildlife with a virtual challenge donation!
By joining us, you’re not only supporting The Living Desert’s conservation programs but also standing alongside Transfrontier Africa and the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit in their mission to protect wildlife and empower communities.
