This adventure is led by Long Lake Naturalist Katie Murphy, and Sam Guida, author of "Galls, Burls, and Brooms of the North Woods" who will point out plant growths that are often overlooked: galls, brooms, and burls! The majority of this event will be outdoors, ending with a bonfire and refreshments. Please bring a water bottle and snacks if you would like. Long Lake Conservation Center has binoculars, hand lenses and snowshoes but participants are encouraged to bring any gear they want!

This is a Minnesota Master Naturalist Advanced Training, but is open to adventures of all ages and knowledge levels.
