David De Angelis, will be our keynote speaker at the Australian Plants Society (APS) - Cardinia Region Inc. Meeting, to be held on the evening of Tuesday, 9th of September 2025.
The Keynote Speaker topic will feature a presentation about creating frog-friendly ponds and gardening using indigenous plants. David will provide an overview of the frogs found around Cardinia, including recent advances in understanding their habitat preferences and other aspects of their ecology.
David De Angelis is President of Frogs Victoria. He is a naturalist, environmental educator and consultant with particular interests in the conservation and ecology of frogs and reptiles. David volunteers a lot of his time to help community groups gain a better understanding of frogs in the area and how to protect them and their habitat.
Note that there is no requirement to book ahead for this session. Feel free to just turn up on the evening.
Doors of the main Function Room, for the presentation, will open from 7:10pm, with an expected start time of 7:30pm.
After the presentation member's native plant cuttings will be shown and discussion, and the raffle drawn for plant prizes. Tickets are 3 for $2.
Second hand native fauna and flora books will be available for purchase. Cash only.
To round out the evening supper will be served.
