2025 Skaldic Althing

Calling all singers, storytellers, musicians, poets, practicioners and performers of the skáldic arts - registration for The Texas Viking Festival's 2025 Skáldic Althing is now open!

Participants will have up to 5 minutes each to display their artistic skills before the assembled folk and a panel of esteemed judges.

Performances will be rated on a scale of 1-5 in the following categories:

- Historical/Cultural Relevance

- Nordic Authenticity

- Presentation Skill

- Crowd Connection

The winner will be awarded fabulous prizes, the title of TVF Skáld for the following year, and will have an opportunity to showcase their skills for all to see and hear onstage at next year's festival!
