The Spectacles? What, who, what even is that name? It’s simple we’ve got a fresher perspective on things… even if it gets a little blurry sometimes. The fun part? We can take our spectacles off, wipe em off then suddenly everything comes into focus again 🤪 We are a high-energy, genre-blending cover band serving up iconic hits with a jazzified, funky sound and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
On vocals, Thea Espinoza (Wildcards, Rhode Island) commands the room with a dynamic, soulful delivery that moves effortlessly between tenderness, and full-blown anthem mode.
Randy Hirokawa on bass (Whatever, Heather, certified badass) anchoring the groove with steady, feel-good low end (he keeps the drummer dialed in)
Holding it down on the beats is Waffles Gibbs (Hayden James, Kukuau Studio, Ragan Rae), a Big Island Cymbals endorsee, this jazz-rock drummer is guaranteed to drive the band with a pocket full of syrup, keepin it locked and sticky.
Justin Takeda (The Ing Crowd) brings versatility and edge on guitar, blending classic rock sensibility with a funky punch.
While Grayson Ishihara (Average Joes) adds depth and color on keys, shaping the band’s lush textures and emotional arcs.
