The Cypress Creek Community Chorale

The Cypress Creek Community Chorale is a non-profit organization dedicated to the performance of great choral music in Northwest Houston. We are a choir made up of dedicated individuals with a love of singing and a desire to perform great works with orchestra on a regular basis. The Chorale travels regularly, having just returned from a tour of Prague and Vienna, and will next be embarking on a trip to Scotland and Ireland. In the past the choir has taken its music to Austria, London, Paris, and Italy, and has performed in the Meyerson Symphony Center and Carnegie Hall. The Chorale is directed by Dr. Joel Plaag and accompanied by Dr. Ann Frohbieter.
The Chorale is housed at Cypress Creek Christian Church and Community Center, home of The Centrum, and regularly performs as part of the Centrum's annual concerts. The Chorale also hosts the annual Dickens Market on Cypress Creek, a spectacular food and goods extravaganza held the third weekend of every November, and the Cypress Creek Choral Festival, a unique festival for area Elementary, Junior High and High School Choirs to come and sing in the Centrum and receive critiques from noted veteran adjudicators.
