I’m excited to take you for the first time on this section of the Polly Ann Trail to Leonard! This will be a beautiful ride through colorful trees for roughly 18-20 miles on a 10ft wide trail some pavement but mostly crushed limestone. Bring your mountain bike, gravel bike, or gravel capable hybrid. (Road bikes Not recommended)
Rolling out at 6:00, this will be a No-Drop ride meaning we stop occasionally to let everyone catch-up. Our pace will be about 12 mph.
Parking & meet up is at The Oxford Public Library: 520 Pontiac St, Oxford.
Please park on the north side of the parking lot. There are restrooms for public use inside (all of this has been preapproved)
This time of year the ride back is starting to get darker, so don’t forget your lights!
Also remember the weather can get cooler this time of year so wear appropriate clothing for your comfort.
Required Gear:
• HELMET no exceptions
• Head Light, Tail Light
• Flat Kit (spare tube, pump or CO2 inflator and tire lever or multi-tool with appropriate tools for your bike)
Recommended Gear:
• Water!
• Cell phone
CycleFit in Fenton can tune-up your bike and has all the supplies you need!
Ride Etiquette:
• Show up prepared and on time. Out of respect for others we will not delay the ride start at 6:00 for someone who is late. It is completely okay if you are familiar with the route and have a plan to catch up.
• We share the trail with walkers and bikers so please call out traffic: "Walker Up" and/or "Biker up." When you hear this called out it is your responsibility to move to the side right of the trail and ride single file. We pass the slower traffic on the left and it is considerate to either ring your bell or say "On your left" to the walker or biker you are passing.
