If you borrowed a dress, please return it so other girls may have the chance to enjoy it next Prom season!
👗Do you have dresses to donate?
While we appreciate donations, we can only accept the following:
• Formal, full length dresses/gowns
• New/gently worn dress shoes, clutch/hand bags and accessories
🚫 Please No: cocktail/short dresses, sundresses or wedding dresses ❌
Monetary donations also help for things such as storage containers for off season storage, hangers, and various items for running The Prom Closet.
What is The Prom Closet?
We are a volunteer run, nonprofit that empowers young women by providing free access to their dream prom dress. We work at ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to attend one of life's special occasions with confidence and dignity—regardless of financial circumstances. Through dress donations and community support, we create a space where every girl feels valued, beautiful, and celebrated.
How does it work?
We have try-on events, that create a space much similar to top dollar dress boutiques (or at least we strive for it to be). By appointment with our volunteer stylists, girls can come try on and pick their favorite dress. They take the dress home, alter it if needed, and beautifully wear it to prom! Then, they return it to us, so next prom season another girl can possibly wear it! And all at no cost!
