The Lebowsky Center for Performing Arts is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill. Auditions will take place on Monday, June 23, at the Lebowsky Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and auditions will begin at 7:00 p.m.
This Tony and Grammy Award–winning musical encapsulates everything we cherish in storytelling—joy, strength, love, courage, catharsis, and LIFE—within the framework of a perfectly imperfect American family.
Drawing on Alanis Morissette’s transformative music, the production includes beloved hits like “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know,” and “Hand in My Pocket,” along with brand-new songs written specifically for the show.
The story follows the Healys, who appear to be a picture-perfect suburban family, but as the narrative unfolds, they face a series of unsettling events that challenge them to either maintain the status quo or confront difficult truths about themselves, their community, and the wider world.
Jagged Little Pill is directed by Garrett Bradley, the Artistic Director of the Lebowsky Center, and will have six performances from September 5, 2025, to September 14, 2025.
Auditions are open to performers ages 15 and up. Please prepare a brief pop/rock vocal audition in the style of the musical and bring your own sheet music or backing track. An accompanist will be provided. Additionally, there will be a dance/movement combination taught during the audition. Callbacks are scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

MARY JANE HEALY - The “Perfect Mother” - a polished suburban housewife whose main priority in life is presenting a perfect image to the world; inwardly, she is struggling with processing trauma from her past and battling an addiction to prescription pills. Virtuosic, multiple octave range and strong rock belt.
STEVE HEALY - A partner at a successful law firm, this workaholic husband and father is struggling with staying present for his family as the pressures of his job and being the breadwinner of the family consume him. He feels his wife Mary Jane slipping away from him. A strong rock singer.
FRANKIE HEALY - A Black adoptee growing up in an affluent white family, Frankie aspires to be a writer and is passionate about social justice. She is not afraid to stand up for what is right, which creates tension in the Healy home. Extremely strong, dynamic, powerful rock singer, also comfortable with lighter pop style singing.
NICK HEALY - The “perfect” son, Nick is an athlete and star student; he often feels like he can’t be his true self because his parents are living vicariously through him; Nick guards his reputation carefully; he fears being exposed and losing everything. Strong rock tenor.
JO - Jo has been best friends with Frankie since preschool. Jo is a lesbian who is currently on a gender expansive journey. Her sense of humor is a defense mechanism, a way of hiding her vulnerability. Has a strong, powerful, dynamic rock voice.
BELLA - One of Nick’s friends, Bella Fox is an aspiring artist, and has to hold a job in order to make ends meet. Bella has a party girl reputation at school, but there is pain beneath her fun-loving facade. Strong rock voice with dynamic range.
