About the Book
This is the untold story of one of the most debated and misunderstood conflicts in modern history. Danbaghdad reveals what many never knew about Iraq, including the events leading up to the invasion and the truth about weapons of mass destruction. Through original journal entries combined with extensive historical research, the book offers a powerful and personal look at the war in Iraq. Readers will experience what life was really like inside the heavily fortified Green Zone, which was frequently shaken by rocket and mortar attacks.
Discover how Saddam Hussein rose to power, why he was known as “The Butcher of Baghdad,” and what it was like to be inside the courtroom during his trial. From Special Forces raids and dangerous convoys on Route Irish to bizarre, unforgettable moments that could only happen in a war zone, Danbaghdad provides a gripping firsthand account of history as it unfolded.
