Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an empirically supported 8-week course in mindful living developed in the late ’70s by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
MBSR has been found to positively and often profoundly affect participants’ ability to reduce medical symptoms and psychological distress while learning to live life more fully.

If you’d like to learn more about the transformative and life-affirming Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, join Amy, a certified teacher of MBSR and certified practitioner of Advanced Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, for a Free Introduction on Wednesday, September 10th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seeking Solace Yoga Studio in Overland Park.
This introduction is intended to serve as an orientation for the fall session of the 8-week MBSR program that begins October 2nd.
Attendance at this introduction or meeting with the program facilitator is required prior to registering for the 8-week MBSR course.
