OULU LEFT
Representing & integrating minorities in Finnish politics
OULU LEFT is a grassroots organization of local Left Alliance. We are working for better representation and integration of minority groups in Finnish politics. Our goal is to help people understand Finnish politics and participate in it and overcome the language barrier.
Our main working language is English, but we welcome speakers of any language.
The organization is a meeting place for people from different backgrounds - both Finnish-speaking Oulu residents and people who have moved to Oulu from abroad for various reasons are welcome to join.
We organize various events and discussion sessions. The future of the group will be determined by the people who participate in the group. Welcome to join us and bring your own ideas!
First event will be held at 14th of October 6 pm at Järjestötalo (address Mäkelininkatu 29, Oulu). In this event Northern Area Executive Director Jaakko Alavuotunki gives a presentation about the organization and operations of the Left Alliance in Northern Finland.
