Movie with researcher: After Us the Flood (Jälkeemme vedenpaisumus)

After Us the Flood (2024) is a sci-fi-tinged drama film with environmental themes. The film raises an important and topical issue about the state of the environment and the importance of protecting it.

Professor Maria Ojala studies how young people relate to, and learn about, sustainability issues. She has focused on hope, worry, coping, climate-change engagement, mental wellbeing, and implications for education and climate-change communication.

The film is in Finnish/English (subtitled) and discussion in English.

Free tickets for the screening can be reserved on the Star Cinema website three weeks before the screening. Reservations require logging in/registration to the cinema's ticket reservation system. The film evening is offered by the University of Oulu.
