Iron Clad: Third Thursday Downtown Ottawa Walking Tour

Ottawa's historic downtown business district is lined with buildings decorated with ornamental iron. Where did that decorative ironwork come from?

The Franklin County Historical Society's August Third Thursdays Walking Tour will explore the histories of buildings decorated with iron cast at Ottawa's own Ottawa Foundry and Novelty Ironworks.
Because we're still polishing our walking tours, for August's tours, we're asking for goodwill donations instead of a set ticket price.

All proceeds support the Franklin County Historical Society.
Tours start at Haley Park and are expected to run 40-45 minutes. Sidewalks along this route are wheelchair accessible. Free parking is available along Main Street, Second Street, and in Legacy Square.

This tour is part of Ottawa Main Street Association's Third Thursdays event.
