Mixed Metals Fabrication Course - 6 weeks

This new 6-week block of classes is a wonderful way to get into jewellery-making or advance your skills. It runs for 6 weeks from Sunday 31 August to Sunday 5 October, 2pm - 5pm.

Our classes are the best way for beginners to get into jewellery-making in a lively, warm and friendly environment. This course provides a solid foundation in jewellery fabrication, with a focus on combining brass, copper and silver to make unique designs.

It's a great way to add colour and texture to your metalwork without adding in gemstones.

Beginners will start with basic ring making in copper or brass, students will learn measuring, texturing, shaping, cutting and soldering. They will then look at how to combine metals in different ways.

Advanced students will be encouraged to extend their fabrication skills, looking at more complex soldering and trickier projects.

All levels will be shown how to layer and inlay metals to create fun patterns, textures and landscapes.
