Join us at St John the Baptist Church in Whittington - step inside and explore the hidden history of Whittington’s Garden of Remembrance.
This village-made exhibition shares the stories of the Garden from creation of the cemetery during the burial reforms of the 1850's, through its transition to a Garden of Remembrance in the 1960's, up to today.
Through old maps, local research, interviews, and community stories, you’ll see how the space has evolved and how it continues to be cared for today.
Whether you love local history, enjoy exploring family roots, or simply want a quiet moment in a beautiful church, you are warmly invited.
