HARPY je duo kultovních amerických performerek Gyny Bootleg (Tinsel Teeth, Sire, Vomitatrix) a Pippi Zornozy (RECTRIX, Bonedust, Vvltvre), které posouvají hranice undergroundu již téměř čtvrt století. V projektu Harpy propůjčují svou kreativitu atmosférickým zvukovým úvahám a manickému vokálu mnohovrstevnaté agrese.
Pippi Zornoza má na kontě mj. hostování na LP The Body - All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood.
Koncertovali v téměř všech evropských zemích, v Rusku a USA.

HARPY is the collaboration of cult musical/performance artists Gyna Bootleg (Tinsel Teeth, Sire, Vomitatrix) and Pippi Zornoza (RECTRIX, Bonedust, Vvltvre), who have been pushing at the boundaries of the underground for nearly a quarter of a century. Harpy lends their atmospheric sonic musings and manic vocals to a multi-layered aggression that is both deeply haunted and utterly relentless. The shriek of this mythological creature as it rips your bowels in order to tell your fortune. The manic psychological space of one becoming unhinged.
Gyna Bootleg is a self-taught queer non-binary multimedia artist based in Rhode Island working in experimental photography, performance, sound and video. They are known for their uncompromising style which utilizes their body as a totem, an altar, a sacrifice and a vessel for externalizing a journey of trauma and queerness.
As part of the Victory Pearl film collective, their video work has been screened nationally. They have toured Nationally and Internationally with such acts as Tinsel Teeth, Vomitatrix, HARPY, Sire and as their solo project Gyna Bootleg. In 2020 Alternative Press listed them in 10 Shock Rockers who dared to Take Things to the Highest Extremes and they have musical releases on Load Records, Nail in the Coffin, Bufu Records, Annihilvs, and Crass Lips Records.
Pippi Zornoza is an interdisciplinary artist working in installation, sound, performance, printmaking, communing, collecting, and archiving. Much of her work uses emotional residue as material. The form that the work takes is ever shifting. However, certain through-lines persist - a preoccupation with space (specifically the day to day spaces we inhabit, as well as creating otherworldly spaces), as well as a fixation on the complexity of time.
Under the moniker RECTRIX she performs and creates her realms. Zornoza’s past musical projects include Bonedust, VVLTVRE, Worms in Women and Cattle, Throne of Blood, Sawzall, Nine Orifices and live percussion for the seminal Saskatchewan black metal/ black noise project Wold. She has released material on Ratskin Records, Thousands of Dead Gods, Annihilvs, Internal Masonry Publications, & Corleone Records. She is co-founder of the Dirt Palace, a feminist artist-run space in Providence Rhode Island. Formed in 2000, the Dirt Palace has since become to embody the oxymoron of “Underground Institution”.
Zornoza's visual work has been featured internationally and her work is housed in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Rhode Island School of Design Museum and has been published in the Bell Gallery's Building Expectation: Past and Present Visions of the Architectural Future, Anthony Alvarado's DIY Magic, Mathew Barney and Brandon Stousy's Tubal Cain, and in the art-poster anthology, the Art of Modern Rock.
