ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
ERIN BARKER – Headliner
Erin Barker is a Moth GrandSLAM-winning storyteller whose stories have aired on public radio and on podcasts such as The Moth, Family Ghosts, and the RISK! podcast. One of her stories was included in the New York Times-bestselling book The Moth: 50 True Stories. She is also the executive director and cofounder of Story Collider, a science storytelling nonprofit, and producer of its award-winning weekly podcast. She lives in New York City with her partner, their two-year-old daughter, and their dog, Wally.
KONA MORRIS – Host
Kona Morris is a storyteller, writer, and educator. She is a four-time winner of The Moth StorySLAM, in New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles, and she came in first place for the Ojai Storytelling Festival Story Slam. Kona has performed on national television shows and podcasts, including Stories From The Stage (PBS) and the RISK! podcast, and her solo show will be featured at the 2026 NYC Fringe Fest. Kona spent 14 years teaching literature, mythology, and creative writing courses to college students, and now she teaches storytelling craft workshops to inspire others to tell their stories. GASTOR ALMONTE – Storyteller
Gastor Almonte is an award-winning stand up comedian, storyteller, writer, and host. He’s appeared on COMEDY CENTRAL’s This Is Not Happening, VICE, and PBS. TIMEOUT magazine named him one of your “New Comedy Obsessions.” He’s a 2020 Webby Award winner for his appearance on PBS and WORLD CHANNEL’s Stories from the Stage. He’s the host of The War Report podcast with Shalewa Sharpe, and his debut album Immigrant Made reached #1 on iTunes, Amazon Music, and GooglePlay charts.
ANNIE TAN – Storyteller
Annie Tan is an educator, activist, writer and storyteller from Manhattan’s Chinatown. Annie’s work has been featured in Huffington Post, New Republic, PBS’ Asian Americans, the RISK! podcast, and twice on The Moth Radio Hour on NPR. Annie is writing a memoir about connecting with her immigrant parents despite not sharing a common fluent language. Find more at AnnieTan.com
RO MORAN – Storyteller
Ro Moran is an award-winning chicken wing eater who also happens to enjoy storytelling on the side. He has participated in shows like Prose of Pie, Tiny Tales, Story Boom, Story Collider, Story Collider en Español, and also produces shows throughout Westchester and New York City, including Say Word. When Ro isn’t telling tales, he’s a community activist and interpreter, and a father to some really cool kids.
KELLY SPILLMAN – Storyteller
Kelly Spillman is a comedian and storyteller based in Los Angeles. She is a Moth StorySLAM winner and has performed on NPR, The Improv, Comedy Store, and comedy clubs all over the country. She is currently touring her solo show I Blame Florida.
ANDREW McGILL – Storyteller
Andrew McGill is a high school English teacher and dean by day, and a stand-up comedian, storyteller, DJ, and jiu-jitsu fighter by night. You can catch this jack-of-all-trades running around NYC doing one of his 5,136x side hustles listed on his W9.
MATT STORRS – Storyteller
Matt Storrs is a comedian and storyteller based out of NYC and originally from Phoenix, AZ. He has been featured in Newsweek, on NPR, and on PBS. Matt is known for sharp stories and his esoteric comedy. Matt Storrs is a humor person. He can be found online at @mtstorrs.
