We usually know the history of our family, our village, our country. But what do we know about the history of our planet Earth? 🌍
Deep Time Walk is a transformative journey through 4.6 billion years of Earth's history via a 4.6 km guided walk (1 meter = 1 million years). It is an invitation to see the world differently, encouraging positive action and advocacy for a regenerative Earth. 🌿
Over 3 hours, we will explore the main stages of Earth's evolution and the evolution of life on Earth. This journey through Deep Time allows us to experience, in both body and mind, the incredible slowness and complexity of life. It changes our perception of what we call "nature" and can provoke profound realisations. 💡
Jérôme Breton is a former engineer who changed direction in 2010 and likes to decribe himself as interdependent. Fascinated by cooperation and collective intelligence, he discovered the Deep Time Walk in 2013 at the Schumacher College and is co-founder of the association 7eme Génération. 🌱
This event is organised by the Institut français de Norvège in collaboration with Jérôme Breton, as part of the "La Nuit des idées" programme. 🌙
