Instead of May 1, Labor Day in the U.S. is celebrated on the first Monday in September. Usually as just a cozy barbeque, but communities and Labor are uniting for new mass demonstrations in the U.S. on September 1.
Democrats Abroad Norway and Norwegian trade unions will show their support! People speaking up and the labor movement is a force to withstand authoritarianism and protect our democracies!
We will:
🔹Demonstrate resistance
🔹Celebrate the contribution of workers and the labor movement
🔹Show support for those protesting in the U.S
🔹Help protect U.S. democracy and civil rights, including the right to unionize
🔹Protest against the authoritarian actions by Trump and the Republicans
🔹Show how standing together also internationally is a way forward
