After suffering brutal violence at the hands of samurai, a mother and daughter-in-law are murdered, only to return as vengeful spirits merged with the essence of a black cat. Haunting the Rajōmon gate, they seduce and K*ll wandering samurai in retribution for their deaths. When their beloved son and husband, now a samurai tasked with destroying the ghosts, returns home, the film weaves a tragic tale of love, revenge, and supernatural horror, brought to life through striking black-and-white cinematography and an eerie, folkloric atmosphere.
