6 Week Clay Class (No experience necessary!) at Mud on Main 423 N Main St Oshkosh
This class is for anyone who wants to explore or continue exploring the world of clay. Classes will consist of 6 Sessions total with the opportunity to learn/utilize both hand building and wheel throwing with your provided clay. We do ask that all participants are at least 15 years of age.
Instructors will cover the basics of both hand building and wheel throwing for those that need it, then work with individuals on various skill building and guidance. You will have the opportunity to work with various instructors throughout the 6 weeks that will provide different demonstrations. (Demonstrations and guidance are based on student interests and goals)
Learn how to trim your pieces, add handles, carve, glaze and learn about clay reclaim. We provide tools and aprons, though you are welcome to bring any of your own. Class fee covers 16 pounds of clay to utilize however you choose. You are welcome to purchase additional clay, cost is by the pound.
Week 1: Orientation to working space and a walk through of wheel throwing basics
Week 2 Walk through of hand-build basics, project creating and demonstrations
Week 3- Week 5: Project creating and demonstrations
Week 6: Glazing week
6 Week Session: ($300)
50% deposit is due at the time of booking, the remainder will be due on the third session of class.

Class size is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required, and payment is due at time of sign up to reserve spot. Class may be canceled due to low enrollment. Please wear art clothes, something you don't mind getting dirty. Trim your fingernails, tie back long hair and remove any rings, watches, bracelets.
