Hi Everyone,
I hated saying No to so many when they tried to book the Charabanc outing to Rufford Old Hall as it is fully booked. It was fully booked in 5 hrs. So I thought what can I do as the waiting list grew?
I decided to try and organise an extra date for a Charabanc to Rufford Old Hall and it is all arranged for Tuesday 10th March. It is number dependent so I hope you can come.
Reading a poster this morning which was aimed at our age group " If it makes you smile do it" all about going out and I am sure a day away on the charabanc will make you smile!
I do hope you can come on that date as I would love to take you on an excellent spring day out.
Please email me – see full details below
Rufford Old Hall, one of the NT’s smaller less well known properties, is a perfect venue for late March as it has both places to visit indoors and lots to discover outdoors.
A part beautiful Tudor House, a local exhibition of life in Lancashire pre industrial era, collected by one man in the 1930s, a Victorian and Edwardian Garden and relaxing stroll along the Rufford branch of the Leeds/Liverpool canal which can be, should you choose, a circular walk of 2miles, maybe stopping to discover the church in the grounds.
It is the end of March, and the daffodils may be in bloom in the woodland which is waking up to Spring.
Start with a coffee in the café and enjoy company at lunchtime in the NT café or should you prefer to take a picnic and enjoy the sounds and sights of Spring outside.
There will be 4 pick up points, 2 in Buxton, Doveholes and Chapel.
Cost £15 which includes coach travel, driver’s tip with free entry to the property for NT members
£27.35 for non NT members which includes coach travel, driver’s tip and entry into the property
