The Confederate Cavalry/Partisan Rangers is a dedicated group of living historians who specialize in portraying the Civil War era. They are committed to presenting an accurate historical interpretation and go to great lengths to equip and train themselves as an authentic and disciplined mounted force. During reenactments, they ride in mid-19th-century military formations and execute commands while on the move, striving to bring the past to life. The group participates in 4 to 5 reenactments each year, with events typically held in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

This family-friendly organization is made up of students and teachers who are passionate about American Civil War history. Its members come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of interests. The Rangers have also made notable contributions to television and film productions, serving as consultants, extras, and even taking on minor speaking roles.
