MarAdentro: An Evening of Presence & Community

MarAdentro, which means “into the sea” or “sea inside”, was born from the friendship of two immigrant women—Marcela and Mariela—who shared a longing for intentional spaces that nourish the soul, honor our roots, and reconnect us to each other. What began as a small offering in Spanish has grown into a healing movement that bridges cultures, emotions, and communities through presence, ritual, and storytelling.

This gathering will be our first English-speaking MarAdentro event, and we’re honored to open our circle even wider, welcoming those who have been curious to join but were waiting for this invitation in their native language.

The evening will flow gently and intuitively, and may include:

* Welcome Circle – a chance to arrive fully, soften into the space, and connect with others through a light and playful icebreaker

* Ceremonial Cacao – a sacred and heart-opening tradition rooted in ancestral practice, offered to help us tune inward and open to vulnerability

* Embodied Practice with Tisse – Tisse will guide us through simple, mindful movements that release tension and awaken presence. With a touch of playfulness and grounding, this practice helps us connect with our bodies and prepare our hearts for deeper sharing.

* Sacred Sharing Circle – a container of deep listening and honest expression, where nothing needs to be fixed, only felt and held

* Community Intentions – a moment to reflect on collective healing and take conscious steps toward supporting immigrant rights and human dignity

This is more than an event—it’s a communal exhale. A space to return to ourselves and one another. A place where joy, grief, and tenderness can coexist.

Whether this is your first circle or you've been walking this path for a while, you are welcome here.

A portion of all proceeds will be donated to immigrant rights organizations in support of justice, dignity, and solidarity.
